Time Table
The Time Table chart displays detailed event over time in the form of a table of tick marks. Typically, this chart is used to examine many events over time (for example, server alarms for network intrusion detection).
Inserting a New Time Table
In the Author Ribbon, click on the "Add New Chart" button
(under Pick Charts) and click
Time Table.
If the Data Configuration form is not already showing, click the configuration button
to open the Data Configuration window. If the Data Table shown is not the one you want, use the drop-down list to select the right one.
- Use the pulldown lists to select X Field and Y Field.
- Optionally, you can select fields for Group By, Angle, Size, or Duration parameters from the respective pulldown lists. Note that the Angle field is mapped to a small range of glyphs (circle, square, triangle, +) by default, unless the Advanced Chart Property "Angled Events" is set to True.
- Click OK. The time table displays.
